Formulation development
Our expertise lies in developing transdermal drug delivery systems for previously developed and approved essential medicines.
Can every existing dosage form – injectable, topical, or solid – be converted into a transdermal formulation? No. Some molecules cannot be transported through the skin, even when the skin has been specially prepared to enhance permeability. However, thousands of active pharmaceutical substances can potentially be delivered by this route, and many of them are essential for patients.
We develop formulations with the highest possible levels of stability and bioavailability suitable for transdermal delivery. For example, the latest drug formulation we developed in transdermal form demonstrated 98% of the performance of the original topical formulation.
What happens after the laboratory development stage?
Once the laboratory stage is complete, we offer the following next steps:
In vitro testing of the developed formulations.
Transfer of the formulation for regulatory registration through certified partners in the hospital sector.
We work with leading medical centers that implement advanced treatment methods and technologies.
Alternative Drug Delivery Routes
In addition to transdermal delivery, we can adapt an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for other routes of administration, including:
sublingual delivery;
buccal delivery;
enteral delivery;
ocular delivery.
In addition to systemically acting medicines, we can develop medical devices or cosmetic products designed to act on the superficial layers of the skin.
